Dialogue 2: After the Exam 

Part 1: First Reactions

Tom: I was so nervous about that test!
Maya: Me too, but I think you did well. I’m impressed with how calm you looked.
Tom: Honestly, I was full of doubt until the last question.
Maya: I’m just happy about finishing it. Now I’m hungry for lunch.
Tom: Let’s go! I’m interested in trying that new café.

Part 2: The Results

Maya: Did you hear the results came out early?
Tom: No way! I’m afraid to check them.
Maya: Don’t be. I’m sure you’ll be pleased with the results.
Tom: I’ll look now… Wow, I passed!
Maya: See? I’m so happy for you! You totally deserved it.

Part 3: Looking Ahead

Tom: Now that the exam’s over, what’s next?
Maya: I’ve applied for an internship. It’s limited to top students, but I’m hopeful about getting in.
Tom: That’s great. I’ve always thought you were good at networking.
Maya: Thanks! I’ve also been getting more involved in school projects.
Tom: That’s smart. They’re popular with recruiters, especially the charity ones.
