What is UI/UX Design?

UI/UX Design focuses on creating products that provide a great user experience. UI, or User Interface, is about designing the visual elements of a product, such as buttons, menus, and icons. UX, or User Experience, focuses on how users interact with a product and whether it is easy to use and meets their needs.

For example, when you visit a website, UI design determines how it looks, while UX design ensures it works well. A good UI/UX Designer considers usability, accessibility, and aesthetics. They often create wireframes and prototypes to test their ideas before finalizing a design. Feedback from users is essential to improve the design through iteration.

Vocabulary in Context:

  1. Wireframes help UI/UX Designers visualize a product’s layout.

  2. A prototype allows users to test a design before it is finished.

  3. Accessibility ensures that everyone, including people with disabilities, can use a product.

  4. Responsive design adapts a website’s layout for different screen sizes.

  5. Empathy helps designers understand users’ needs.
