Reading Text 2: Report on Education Reform

A recent report on education reform highlights both progress and ongoing challenges. The reform aimed to modernize schools, but its effect on rural communities has been uneven. In many small towns, there’s still a serious lack of resources and limited access to technology.

The government’s approach to funding has been widely debated. While some praise the emphasis on innovation and digital learning, others criticize the decision on budget allocation. Teachers argue that better salaries would be the most practical solution to staff shortages.

Another major concern is the attitude towards vocational education. For years, there’s been a cultural disadvantage of viewing technical skills as less valuable than academic ones. The ministry now promotes a new idea of equal respect for all professions.

The impact on students’ motivation has been mixed. Urban schools show improvement, but rural areas still face the problem of inequality. The result of poor infrastructure and the lack of teacher training remains evident.

Nevertheless, the reform’s supporters maintain that continuous contribution to public education will eventually bring positive change. They argue that cooperation between teachers, parents, and local governments is the real answer to long-term progress.
